IGI 1230 PARAFFIN WAX

This wax is a fully refined paraffin wax used for containers.  Because it is a harder wax, for best results it will require topping off to achieve a smooth top.  Will need additives such as Vybar 260 for best results.

  • Fragrance oil retention of 3 – 4% is  typical.  Higher fragrance loads may be achievable with the use of additives.
  • Average pour temperature between 175° – 185°F.
  • Good scent throw.
  • Good burn characteristics.

Description

IGI 1230 paraffin wax is a multi-purpose wax and the application will change depending on what additives you use. IGI 1230 paraffin wax is a fully refined paraffin wax with a white color. It has a melt point of 125°-129° degrees and a low oil content. Needle penetration @77 degrees of 12. This is a fully refined paraffin wax with different uses depending on what additives you use. The melt point of this wax will change depending on what percentage of additives your are using. The amount of fragrance oil the wax will hold will increase depending on the percentage of additives.
